Automatic Detection for Vest Bag Making Machines
The "automatic detection" of vest bag making machines does not refer to AI visual recognition. Instead, it uses photoelectric sensors combined with PLC logic control to monitor "film presence" and "hole alignment" in real time during high-speed production. If any abnormality is detected, the machine will immediately alarm or stop to avoid mass defective products.
I. Detection Principle and Process
The system collects physical signals at key points through sensors. The PLC compares the signals with preset parameters to realize logical judgment of "qualified upon forming".
1. Film Presence Detection (Anti-empty Bag)
• Location: At the unwinding frame or the entrance of the forming frame
• Principle: Through-beam photoelectric sensor is adopted. If there is no film to block the light, the sensor sends an abnormal signal, and the PLC judges "no material" and stops the machine.
2. Punching Position Detection (Anti-missing Hole / Deviated Hole)
• Location: Behind the punching station
• Principle: Color mark sensor or proximity switch is used to detect the marks or hole edges left after punching. If no hole is detected for N consecutive cycles, the PLC judges "punching failure", triggers an alarm and stops automatically.
3. Sealing Temperature Monitoring (Anti-incomplete Sealing)
• Location: On the heating plate or heat sealing knife
• Principle: Thermocouple monitors temperature in real time. If the temperature is below the set value, the PLC prohibits machine startup or stops the sealing and cutting action.
II. Common Clarifications
• Not AI-Based Inspection: The standard machine does not detect print color, ink spots, or minor scratches. It only ensures the bag is "physically formed."
• Not 100% Yield Guarantee: Automatic detection can only intercept major forming defects (e.g., missing holes, film breaks) and cannot completely replace manual spot checks.
To upgrade an existing machine with this feature, an "Optical Detection Kit" (including sensor brackets and PLC program upgrade) is usually required.
