Working Principle of PE Stretch Film Slitter Rewinder Machine
The machine continuously processes large‑diameter PE stretch film master rolls through unwinding, web guiding, tension control, slitting and rewinding procedures, converting wide master rolls into multiple narrow finished rolls.

1,Unwinding and Web Guiding:The master roll is mounted on the unwinding shaft. The motor pulls the film for forward conveying. The photoelectric web‑guide sensor monitors the film edge in real time. When web deviation occurs, the unwinding frame will shift automatically to keep the material running in alignment.

2,Constant‑Tension Control (Core Function):PE stretch film is highly susceptible to elongation. Tension rollers and sensors regulate pulling force throughout the whole process to prevent over‑stretching, wrinkling and uneven tightness of finished rolls. It supports adjustable tension for both hand‑wrap film and machine‑wrap film.

3,Slitting:The film travels to the slitting station. According to preset width, razor blades or circular rotary knives cut the wide web into multiple narrow strips, delivering clean, burr‑free cutting edges.

4,Rewinding and Material Collection:Each slit narrow film is rewound onto paper cores (core‑free version works without paper tubes). A finished roll is completed once the preset length is reached. Optional non‑stop roll change allows roll replacement without main‑unit shutdown.
