The main feature of gravure printing machine is that the image and text on the printing plate are concave and the blank part is convex,which is juat opposite to the layout structure of gravure printing machine.When the machine is printing monochrome,it first immerses the printing plate in the ink tank and rolls,and the entrie printing plate surface is coated with ink layer by layer.Then,the ink layer belonging to the blank part on the lower plate surface is scraped off,and the convex part surface is scraped off,and the convex part forms a blank,while the concave part is filled with ink.The deeper the concave part is,the thicker the ink layer is.The machine transfers the ink in the concave part to the printed matter through pressure,so as to obtain the printed matter.
When printing multi-color,the overprinting method or indirect partial ink coating method is adopted,so that the inks of various colors are distributed in the relevant parts of the printing plate according to the needs.The basic printing principle of multi-color printing is the same as that of single color printing. There are two main types of printing plates used by gravure printing machines,one is photogravure,that is,photogravure,and the other is engraving.Ebgraving of engraving plate includes manual carving,mechanical caring and electronic carving.
